The Signature Vintage Story…

My passion for unique and beautiful design, including statement jewellery, began at a very young age in the 1970’s. My mother was my design muse – with her exquisitely curated looks that included jewels my father had brought back from his overseas travels.

I was in awe of her glamorous, timeless and inimitable style. Mum was not dictated by fashion trends and had an elegance that was distinctly her own.

Having developed a love for fashion and design after observing my mother for many years, it was apparent that I would pursue such a career. After starting out in Melbourne, I moved to London where I honed my skills in the industry for 10 years.

I worked for notable European designers, including the Italian icon Gianni Versace and the understated elegant French woman, Nicole Farhi. Working with boutiques at Harrods, Selfridges and Harvey Nichols in Knightsbridge and Bond Street, my eyes were opened to so much beauty.

I spent my free time peering in the windows of high-end jewellery boutiques observing their unique designs, before settling on more modest purchases from the jewellery dealers located along Portobello Road.

After returning to Melbourne, my passion for jewellery deepened. However, being on a budget meant that I had to be prudent, so I continued to collect mostly quality second-hand jewellery.

It was through this combination of experiences that the vision for Signature Vintage was conceived. I wanted to offer others hand-selected and beautifully curated pieces at a reasonable price, just as I had been doing for myself for several decades.

I have also created a Consignment Service for clients, as I know first-hand how difficult it can be to know how and where to sell your pre-loved pieces. With this in mind, I clean, photograph and present my client’s jewels beautifully in order to present them in their best state.

As a passionate and devoted jewellery seller, I take care of your pieces as if they are my own and guarantee each item is fully insured while in my care.
